Our semiannual awakening is a special event that represents the growth, recovery, and “moving on” of our group members. Not every parent and teen that comes to Cornerstone will awaken. Those that do have taken an extra step in their recovery, decided they want to awaken and have gone to any lengths to do so. The awakening symbolizes much hard work and dedication.
Recovering from Addiction is a lifetime process. It will continue to affect every parent and teen. This program is based on “enthusiastic early recovery” and by the time most people have been here for at least 18 months they are no longer in “early recovery”. It is time to move on and apply what they have learned through the program.
